Hans-Peter,

What do I have to do to allow DNNPortal-Download Version 1.0.9 to download *.msi files?

Regards
Richard

Richard,
you must add the extension msi to the file upload extensions.

Login as host, select ´host settings - advanced setting - other settings.
There you will find the entry file upload extensions:
The default for this entry is:
swf,jpg,jpeg,jpe,gif,bmp,png,doc,xls,ppt,pdf,txt,xml,xsl,css,zip
you can now add the msi extension, the result shows like this.
swf,jpg,jpeg,jpe,gif,bmp,png,doc,xls,ppt,pdf,txt,xml,xsl,css,zip,msi

HTH

best regards

Hans-Peter

Thanks I will try that.

One more favor is it possible to incorporate in your next release the following option?
Rather than saving the file to our server, I would like an option to only have a pointer saved in the database referencing a specific download url?

Regards
Richard
